 Susan Dentzer is coming to ASU on January 25, 2019 to present NEHI’s vision of Health Care Without Walls. It’s an important opportunity for the ASU Community and our many academic and clinical partners to explore what a health care system without walls would mean for educating our students, for improving healthcare quality and costs, and for new research.

Interprofessional workshop - team care and ROI

CAIPER and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (NCIPE) have partnered to offer a very active three-day workshop March 28-30, 2018. Participants will learn and practice strategies and tools for high performance teamwork in care coordination and integrated care, and how to translate team roles, activities and outcomes into dollars.

Interprofessional teamwork

I was asked to speak at the first advanced IPEC Institute in October this year. Academic-Practice teams come to IPEC workshops from all over the US to work on growing their interprofessional programs. The topic for my talk was integrating IPEC competencies in interprofessional learning.

Elevating Registered Nurses

The American health system has already begun a transition from a sick model to a patient centered/community-based prevention and wellness system. As nurse educators it is our charge to educate and prepare the next generation of nurses with the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for optimizing team-based care and interprofessional practice.
